Larry-George sax

About

Larry-George was born in Mamre, a small historic town along the West Coast. His father, also an avid saxophonist, was his first inspiration to take up the instrument and to hone his skill to become a professional musician in the South African music industry.

This silky saxophonist soon began to share stages with esteemed musicians such as Emo Adams, Katlego Maboe, Kurt Darren, Ernie Smith, Jonathan Rubain and Neville D to name a few. A memorable career highlight includes performing with one of his role models in music; American jazz saxophonist, Kirk Whalum. Larry-George also performed at the 2012 SARU Rugby Awards and formed part of a production called “Karoo Swing” at the annual KKNK festival alongside Bobby van Jaarsveld.

With a degree in education, this prolific artist has a vision to establish a music upliftment and education program. His heart and passion for music and community is something that makes this musician a rare find!

What Clients Say

“Larry-George was absolutely extraordinary. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he is also remarkably reliable, professional, and wonderfully accommodating. My entire wedding group was completely captivated by his artistry on the saxophone. Watching him perform on the beach felt like witnessing a scene from a beautifully crafted film—truly mesmerising and unforgettable. He is an exceptionally gifted artist, and I cannot wait for the next opportunity to have him bring his magic to another one of my events as soon as possible!"
